Hey , everyone so far this winter has been fanastic. After a real tough winter last year the deer deserve a break. The hunting season was real tough, many guys not seeing much at all. We had a go at a few good ones around here but couldn't get the big one. Fish and Wildlife say there was as much as 60% die off this spring. According to all the pictures I'm getting the bucks survived very well. I've got 18, 160 class bucks on camera this winter so far. I even have a 200 inch whitetail. Numerous videos of him as well. There seems to be quite a number of does as well. But defineatly the numbers are down. Every deer looks like they are doing very well thou which is a good sign. I hope everyone has their cameras out this winter because this is the best time to see what is out there. I will be posting pictures soon. I have some real good ones too. Many of the deer I have pictures of them from two to three years previous. It's pretty cool to see how much they have grown from year to year. Have a good one.

Well with the snow slowly melting the antler tines should start poking up. It's time to get out and start looking. I haven't been out for awhile, but I'm heading out this afternoon for a stroll. Have to be very careful not to get stuck in the mud. The deer around here are starting to disperse from the big herds, heading back for their summer living quarters. It won't be long before we have another population explosion .Then after that the antlers will start sprouting. Then we can start getting some pictures of some big boys, providing they aren't too camera shy. The count down has begun for me,only 5 months to fall hunting season. No bears have woke up around here yet but I'm sure it won't be long. We will soon have some security boxes available for the cameras. Well the bush is calling me so I gotta go. Remember to keep your head up and eyes down. I'm sure someone's gonna find a big antler or two. Take care and Good Luck....Kelly

Hey everyone,I finally picked my last camera up from the bush that I wasn't able to get to cause of all the snow. The last time I was at the camera was Dec 26. I picked it up today and there was 1967 pictures on it and it was still taking pictures. I had my cousin get it for me on his snowmobile. I opened the camera up and there was a picture of him on his sled. That's 3 months in the bush and still taking pictures in very cold temperatures. I could not believe it.These little cameras are unbelieveable. It never froze up once in all that time.Even more suprising the batteries were still reading 3 bars on the veiwing screen. They just keep surprising me . I am looking forward to each and everyone that has purchased a camera to get it out in the field to have the great experience that I am having with these cameras. I have never had a camera that worked as well as these. I am 100% positive that these cameras work in all conditions. I know you will have the same satisfaction as I am having. Get them out in the field you will be pleasantly surprised..Take care and don't get stuck in the snow, but if you do, don't worry the snow will melt ............Kelly

Hey everyone if you haven't been out in the country lately you are missing out on some great gopher hunting . They are everywhere sicking out in the snow . They are probably wondering where the grass is. I was out yesterday shooting . It didn't take long to shoot 3 or 4 boxes of ammo. Some deer still packing their headgear. Anyone find any sheds yet? Make sure you post them up on the site. I'm up to 25 sheds so far this year. There is lots under the snow, so hopefully it will warm up real quick and melt this snow. I've been seeing a few dead deer now ,the coyotes are eating well. that's too bad that means less for us to get pictures of this coming summer and fall. We got our MMS camera going and it is working very well. Just sit at your computer and veiw pictures of animals right at home. It is pretty cool...Take care.....Kelly

Well the time is up and we have a winner of the trail camera. There was 3 real close entries.I don't like to call it a guess because all of you that scored the deer are very good at judging deer. I'd like to hunt with each and every one of you.I would like to ask everyone to give a big congratulations to our winner. It is a young fellow by the name of Dylan Mayer. He is 16 years old. That's awesome Dylan. We will be contacting you shortly. Incidently the scores were Dylans 204 4/8, Ian Smiths 204 3/8, and Laurens 207 6/8. So as you see Dylan won by 1/8' .Thats incredibly close.I remember very well talking to Dylan and his Dad at the show. Now you have 2 cameras to put out in the field. The deer you were scoring was 205 6/8. Take care and keep checking for upcoming contests on our site .................Kelly

Now , home from the show on the weekend and it's back to reality still busy calving my cows.Always sneaking away from them to check the local bushes for antlers that are falling off everyday. The problem with most of the antlers, they are under the vast amount of snow we still have, but as it warms up they will start appearing sticking up like mushrooms. That's exactly how I compare shed hunting, once you find the first one the rest is easy. Hopefully it will warm up soon I'm getting pretty tired of this crazy weather.Got to go, the cows are calling me back to the barn.Make sure , if you guys find a big shed, take a picture of it and put it up on the website. Alot of us would love to see it.Just remember where there's one there will be more...Take care ...............Kelly
